This is an excellent example of the kind of Welsh oak dresser that defined the upper echelon of country estate display pieces. Tunbridgeware--a highly prized version of Welsh parquetry--decorates the banding of the four drawers, each with heavy brass pulls and solid backplates. Cabriole legs uniquely blended with apron moulding--an adventurous departure from the norm of the day--while columns flanking the rack give this dresser a regal bearing.

Circa 1800, its measurements are: Serving Height: 30 1/2", Overall Height2: 77", Width: 98", Depth: 21".
