Circa 1740, this mahogany George III Architect's Desk with brass lion's-head ring pulls was created hundreds of years before the laptop was even conceived, allowing for multi-tasking of the highest order. With its two adjustable slant drawing boards--one with a pop up book support, the other covered in a quill-friendly felt--two brass girandole candle cups and numerous drawers and pen and ink compartments, this desk provided all the amenities a serious draftsman could need.
