Description

This drop leaf table has the additional swing leg on either end making for a more stable table. Often, in the economy versions there are only four legs, one of the end legs that does the swinging. Also note that the rope twist (or spiral turnings) are very tight and masterfully done. Again, these turnings are often loose and indicative of economy and poor craftsmanship. This table has large drop leaves, and the cherry leaves, which, of course are solid, are quite thick and heavy. The cherry has a beautiful nut brown color to it, indicative of an old surface that has been cared for through the years. Although this is a country/provincial piece, the legs show the sophistication and quality of a well-made table.

Height : 30 in. Width: 20 1/4 - 63 1/4 in. Length: 46 1/4 in.
