Connie McNally opened her first antique shop in Palm Springs, California in 1976. In 1978 she was joined by husband Bill McNally, and they formed The McNally Company Antiques, Inc. Together they traveled and exhibited at many antique shows throughout the country before opening their gallery/shop in Rancho Santa Fe, California 20 years ago. The McNally Company offers not only a splendid array of sophisticated 17th, 18th and 19th Century Spanish Colonial, Italian, French and English furnishings, paintings and objects d'art, but also hosts one of Southern California's finest collections of antique silver. Connie's first love in antiques was silver, which in 1993 lead her to purchase and become editor and publisher of Silver Magazine. Now in its 40th year it is distributed throughout the U.S. and in many foreign countries, Silver Magazine was and still is the leading publication specializing in the entire field of silver. Under her editorship the magazine became a scholarly reference source read by collectors and researchers alike. In 2003, after being editor and publisher for 10 years, Connie decided to devote her time to running the antique shop, and Silver Magazine was sold. Today Connie McNally continues her association with Silver Magazine as Editor Emeritus. The McNally's are known nationwide for their outstanding silver in the shop, including items featured on the December 2005 cover of Art & Antiques magazine. As well as being a member of the Antique Dealers Association of California , the New York Silver Society and the Society for American Silversmiths, Connie McNally is known to support many local charities. Connie served on the Board of Directors for The Country Friends for nine years, (an organization that raises funds for agencies committed to helping women, children and the elderly), during which she was Chair in 1991, of the largest outdoor Fashion Show in the country hosted by Nordstrom. She is currently on the National Board for Kids Korps USA (a nonprofit youth volunteer organization that engages young people, ages 5 through 18, in community service) and in February 2008 Bill and Connie were honored and received the Annual Leadership Award from Kids Korps. Connie is also a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund, and is actively involved with the Friends of San Pasqual Academy (a residential education campus designed specifically for foster teens). With over 33 years experience in the Antique Industry, Connie and Bill McNally are well-trusted in their expertise and knowledge of high quality antiques for the interested discerning buyer and collector.
